After another loginwindow process crash on my Mac early this morning, and after losing an important video render and large file upload, AND about 5 minutes of swearing my head off, I finally bought some more RAM for my computer. I upgraded the HDD recently, now I’m upgrading the RAM. My original plan was to upgrade to 8 GB, but then I thought I’d wait for my new computer. But now that I run many more resource intensive apps, I cannot live off of 4 GB. Performance is slow, and I get these crashes and lose data. So expect a RAM upgrade video soon. And yes, by early this morning I mean around 4 AM =)
UPDATE: it turns out that Final Cut Pro X can continue an export even after a loginwindow process crash. Holy cow, this rocks! It’s unfortunate that I already deleted the in-completed video file though, so it had to start over.
